Christmas

on Christmas Eve we were singing at the Holmans and Denece got the boys a drum to play while singing Little Drummer Boy.. and Kaden loved it!

the girls slept through almost all of it!

Kaden got this train from my brother Chris and it was a HUGE hit with Kaden he wount go to bed with out it

 Christmas day he was just beat.. so he went to sleep on the Holman's couch!

the Holman's got us a nice rug! Denece and I went shopping for fabric for the girls room and the place had tons and tons of rugs and I mentioned i wanted to bring Rob back to look at rugs.. and she REMEMBERED!! and surprised us :)

my parents surpirsed all us Kids with an x-box 360 Kinect and a game!! and OH MY  this is the funnest thing to play!! much better then the wii!!!

we had a great Christmas we loved all the time spent with family!!!! Kaden has started to understand about Jesus and his birth now!! and he loves this time of year as well :)

Our Grandpa and Grandma Peterson and Granda Norrine knew just what to get Kaden.. oh my he was so excited for this dinosaur!! It just made us that much more excited for christmas :) Also today Kaden got to go play basketball with Rob and on the way to play Rob asked him what is he asking Santa for this year and he got all excited and said "a basketball"!! am I surprised.. nope.. father like son.. :) I have the greatest guys in my life!!!

Kaden put his jammie bottoms back on..

so last night Kaden decided he wanted to sleep "free and easy" and took his diaper off and put it outside his bedroom door! so we went in and checked on him and noticed he put his bottoms back on with no diaper.. and he did it again during his nap but that time he took EVERYTHING off! so now he is in his big boy undies and he is so excited! we love our advendurous little man

So my wonderful mother-in-law took on a huge sewing project and made all the girls' bedding and WOW she is very talented.. as you can see, all i asked was that they were the same but different!! and she understood what i meant and its beautiful :)

Thanksgiving

so thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.. i love all the great food and people! so this thanksgiving was a fun one! it was our year with my side of the family and they celebrate with my dads whole side and it was planned to be a church because there are usually around 70 people.. but this year the church flooded and it ended up being at my brother jer and lisa's house and there was only like 50 people. it was so nice this year we did miss those family members that werent there but we still had a great time we took the girls and they were hiding in my brothers room with rob and i sitting my the door but sadly on my favorite holiday Rob and I woke up feeling sick with a silly cold.. so i ran to the store for medicine so we could function and then made 12 boxes of stove top and added a few things to make it extra yummy! but that was just the start my pparents then had some homemade pf chang food that night and only Kad and me went since Rob started to feel worse and we figure it best to keep the girls in as much as possible.. but then we got home and got everyone ready for bed incuding rob.. so after I got everyone in bed was time for me to leave for "black friday" even though it was only 9:30 on thursday night!! i went with Jess and Lisa and we went to walmart and all i can say is all the crazy mean aggressive people at there!! but we had to stay there till 5:00 to get the xbox rob had been wanting because it was the cool new one. and he needed a new external hard drive so i had jess and lisa wait for the xbox and i got the hard drive and they ran to the check out and texted me where they were and i got it and ran to them and we got out of walmart by 5:05!!!!! and we needed to get jess home (she is 9 months pregnant and thanksgiving was her due date, she needed the sleep it was great haveing her there) but lisa and i decided to go to oold navy also but we were quick cause i was starting so sick and we were both so tired so we got home around 6am just in time for our hubbys to go to work! so neither of us got sleep and i just got more and more sick so my wonderful mom came over and took care of my kids so i wouldnt chance getting them sick and to get better but i have never been that sick with a cold but its all getting better!! it was a very busy holiday but a fun one :)

so Kaden always will grab our second controller and pretend to play with rob so today rob decided to let him play for real.. and he was so excited and was trying hard to make his lego man move and shoot his gun!! he got real good at shooting that he actually killed rob a few times on the game!! i guess we are teaching him while hes young to love the xbox.. just like his daddy!! it was cute to see them playing together i cant wait to see what Kaden does when he learnes how to use the Kinect.. but we wont know till "santa" comes!!
