so halloween was a fun filled weekend. it started on thursday night when Rob and my brother Justin decided to cut their hair into a mohawk (because they lost a bet and have to buzz it anyway, so they wanted to have some fun first) so Whit and i cut the guys hair into a mohawk and bleached the tips and they both went to work as punks. Then they had a party and Kaden made out well with tons of candy! On Saturday Rob and I couldnt wait to take Kaden out trick-or-treating.. first we had chili at my parents (this is a tradition we do every year) and all the cousins went trick -or-treating to my oarents then around the neighborhood and Kaden refused to wear his Woody hat so we had him wear a red beenie to help keep him warm since it was raining.. Rob got to take him to all the houses and I stayed at my parents with Kaylee and Kenzlee.. they just hung out in the carseats or were being held, we didnt dress them up, we will next year! but when the boys got back they were soaking wet from the rain so we dressed Kaden down to his jammies that were under the costume, so he could be dry and he was so excited and kept asking for more and more candy! Then Sunday Kaden got to dress up again to celebrate Halloween with grandma and grandpa Holman, and they mad cookies for him to decorate cookies!! it was a great Halloween weekend :)

on monday october 18, 2010 we went to the dr's to have an ultrasound to check the growth of the girls and after my dr saw that baby b appeared to only in the 5 percentile and just under 5 pounds, and baby a was in the 22 percentile and just about 6 pounds (which is just an estimate) so we thought it was time to meet them! so my dr induced me and the whole process started at 3pm and they gave my the epidural real quick because i asked for it before it really began to hurt!! then the dr came in and broke the water for baby a and did an internal monitor of the baby that was to come first and they took the external monitor off what they thought was baby a and it turns out that baby b decided she was coming first :) my dr and nurses were so confused when they noticed they were monitoring the same baby after that and figured out what baby b had decided and they then said they would just be out at the nurses station till its time to check again and at 8pm i was only at a 5!!! rob and i were getting inpatient we just wanted to meet them and it had been 5 hours and i went from a 3 to a 5.. so i asked how much longer and the dr said i say by 10 you will be ready and by 9:30 i could feel pressure so i called the nurse in and was getting all excited and she check and i was only a 6... but at 10 the dr came in and check and i was a 9+ and he said ok get her to the O.R. just in case we have to do a C-Section and we got in there and it all became real they all got in place and had lots of nurses and the dr and a midwife and the guy to monitor my pain, then they told me to push 3 times and Kaylee Aurora Holman was born at 10:18 on 10/18 weighing 4 pounds 10 ounces and 17.5 inches long and they broke my second water and told me to push once and then we met Kenzlee Layla Holman 5 min later at 10:23 on 10/18 and she weighed 5 pounds 2 ounces and 17.5 inches and they were both very healthy just teeny tiny little girls! we all got to leave wednesday night!!

Kaden's reaction:

Kaden has been the sweetest big brother when he first met them he walked into the hospital room and saw one baby and said "look baby" and then he turned around and saw another baby and with a big smile said "two babies" and was so excited to hold his little sisters.. then he got to come back later that day with his cousins and his cousins were holding them and he walked over and said "my baby" and gave them both kisses on the forehead!! since we have been home he is so cute he will always ask to hold them and it seems like he knows their names and can tell them apart but he is even willing to give up his favorite toys to make them happy when they cry.. and will tell them "it ok" and tells rob and i "oh no baby crying" he really is the sweetest brother!!
